Project 3 – Western Boundary Currents

Use the ACC setup of Veros to test the various theories about the western boundary current.

• What are the lateral boundary conditions Veros uses?
• Which friction balances the advection of planetary vorticity (bottom or sidewall), and how did you establish that?
• Modify this friction and test if the boundary layer width does indeed follow the relevant scaling law (bottom viscosity is r_bot, and horizontal viscosity is A_h)
